EU and EAEU Are Incompatible: Ovchuk on Armenia
The EU and the EAEU are incompatible, and the arrival of extraterritorial players in Armenia will have consequences, stated Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Ovchuk during the 10th International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings." He noted that Armenia's political vector is increasingly leaning towards the West. Ovchuk also pointed out certain discontent within Armenian society towards Russia.
“At least, there is such a viewpoint, and it must be understood, but it should also be recognized that the EU and the EAEU are incompatible. We pay for our security and strategic depth, therefore, the arrival of certain extraterritorial players will naturally have its consequences, for our fraternal good relations,” said Ovchuk.
