Esai to Undergo Second Surgery After Hand Injury from Police Grenade
Esai, who sustained a hand injury from a grenade thrown by police on June 12, will undergo a second surgery in the coming days, according to his wife.
“We are moving forward. The second operation on his hands will take place in the coming days. It will be a general anesthesia surgery, but fortunately, there is no life-threatening danger. The doctors are doing their job well. Of course, we won’t regain functionality in the right hand, but we are not losing hope. We are grateful to everyone who showed interest during this time, wished for health, and stood by us. We thank the journalists who cover the story and spread the truth. One day (hopefully not too far in the future), there will be a normal police force in our country, not an armed gang ready to carry out every order for a couple of kopecks. And those who give the orders will eventually receive their deserved punishment. They won’t get away with it,” she stated.
