Turkey's Foreign Ministry Welcomes Armenia's Statement
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the announcement made by Armenia's Foreign Ministry regarding the recognition of the State of Palestine. This was reported by the Anadolu agency.
"We are pleased that Armenia has decided to recognize the State of Palestine, following the example of Spain, Ireland, Norway, and Slovenia," the statement reads.
The statement also noted that Turkey will continue its efforts to encourage more countries to recognize Palestine.
It is worth mentioning that, according to The Times of Israel, Israel's Foreign Ministry summoned the Armenian ambassador to express strong disapproval following Armenia's announcement on recognizing the State of Palestine.
