Netanyahu Discusses Serious Problems with the U.S.
Israel and the United States have yet to resolve serious issues related to the supply of American weapons to the Jewish state. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with Punchbowl News.
“President Biden came here, he sent two aircraft carrier groups, and since the beginning of the war, he has provided us with valuable assistance, munitions, and weapons. I appreciate that and I remain thankful. A few months ago, we began to understand that we were facing serious problems,” noted Netanyahu.
According to him, the parties have not managed to rectify the disagreements that arose after the U.S. began to reduce the supply of American weapons to Israel. “We tried to smooth over the reductions in supplies. But we could not resolve it,” emphasized the Prime Minister. In his assessment, the continuation of Israeli cooperation with the U.S. and the supply of arms is crucial for the Jewish state.
Previously, Netanyahu had stated his willingness to endure personal attacks on the condition that the Jewish state continues to receive necessary military assistance from the U.S. On June 19, it became known that the White House had canceled a high-level meeting between the U.S. and Israel after Netanyahu released a video message complaining about delays in the supply of American weapons. Earlier, the Federal Council had responded to the dispute between Israel and the U.S. with a Russian saying.
