Galuzin Comments on Potential Transition of Armenia Under US and NATO 'Umbrella'
The transition of Armenia under the 'umbrella' of the United States and NATO would make it impossible to maintain a unified defense space with the Russian Federation and within the CSTO framework. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
He noted, “The further erosion of Armenia's sovereignty in the field of security and the transition under the 'paper umbrella' of the US and NATO would simply make it impossible to maintain a unified defense space with Russia and within the CSTO framework,” he told Kommersant.
He emphasized that Moscow has “repeatedly and at various levels expressed its readiness to discuss the issues concerning Yerevan.”
