Russia to Be Invited to the 'Second Peace Summit' Says Ukraine's Foreign Minister
The next international conference on Ukraine should ensure that Russia is also invited to the summit, stated Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, as quoted by RIA Novosti.
Kuleba acknowledged that sooner or later, it would be necessary to talk to Russia. “Of course, we fully understand that there will come a time when we need to speak with Russia,” emphasized Kuleba.
At the same time, he noted that the positions of the West and the Global South differ. “Yesterday, there were calls from the South regarding the difficult compromises that Ukraine should make; that is not the language we hear from our Western partners,” mentioned Ukraine's Foreign Minister.
