Pope Francis Comments on Ukraine Conference in Switzerland
Pope Francis has commented on the conference regarding Ukraine held in Switzerland. He believes that prospects for resolving the conflict in Ukraine have emerged, and that Russia should be present at the upcoming meetings where a peaceful resolution is being discussed. This was reported to TASS by Leonid Sevastianov, the leader of the Worldwide Union of Old Believers, who noted the pontiff’s remarks on the Swiss conference.
“Pope Francis believes that the process of peaceful negotiations is now coming to light. According to the Pope, Russia must participate in any subsequent meetings where real negotiations will begin, bringing all positions to a common agreement,” he stated.
According to Sevastianov, the pontiff clarified that all parties involved in the conflict have now expressed their positions regarding a peaceful settlement, and it is time to align these views towards a common agreement.
