Investigation Reveals Arson of Kapan Mayor's Car
On May 21, at 19:45, an unknown individual poured gasoline on the engine cover of a parked Lexus vehicle near Kapan's Garegin Nzhdeh Square, ignited it, and fled the scene. The police reported that the spread of the fire was prevented by the actions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue workers in Syunik Province and local citizens.
Thanks to operational and investigative measures taken, it was determined that the vehicle was set on fire by a 42-year-old resident of the Dzorq neighborhood in Kapan. He was brought to the Kapan police department, where he filed a complaint. The documents and the suspect have been referred to the Syunik regional investigative department.
It is noteworthy that the vehicle in question belongs to Kapan's Mayor, Gevorg Parsyan.
