Kiranzi Resident Reveals What Tavush Regional Governor Said at Meeting
The regional governor stated during the meeting that today they would finalize the agreement and bring tractors to the village to start building the new road. This was reported today, May 17, to NEWS.am by Kiranzi resident Karen Ghazaryan, who spoke about the closed meeting between the villagers and Tavush Governor Hayk Ghalumyan.
He said, 'He (the governor) told us to construct the road so that we can hand over the obligations. The people did not agree, only 3-4 individuals consented, saying that it was only if there would be no war.'
The resident noted that there were about 10-12 men from the village present at the meeting. According to him, the villagers temporarily opened the road to meet with the governor and hoped to speak with Hayk Ghalumyan after the meeting concluded. However, the governor left without addressing the questions of those villagers who were not present at the meeting.
Karen Ghazaryan mentioned that the villagers are still preparing to keep the road closed.
Earlier, it was reported that Tavush Governor Hayk Ghalumyan held a closed meeting at the Kiranzi village administration with the residents of the village.
