The Peace Treaty Between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a Historic Opportunity: Erdogan
The peace treaty set to be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia represents a historic opportunity. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a joint press conference in Ankara with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, according to a report by the Turkish correspondent of APA.
Erdogan emphasized that Turkey and Georgia, as regional countries, will continue their cooperation towards peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
“Georgia welcomes the start of border demarcation works between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This will lay the groundwork for the final signing of the peace agreement between the two countries,” said Irakli Garibashvili.
