VIDEO. Protests in France as Farmers Torch Huge Pile of Tires and Haystacks
Protests in France have reached a new level as farmers have ignited a large bonfire near the Aigues-Mortes prefecture. French farmers are protesting against the removal of subsidies and the flooding of the country with cheap Ukrainian agricultural products. They have set ablaze a pile of hay and a massive heap of tires. The flames reached several meters high, and a column of black smoke was visible from a distance. Additionally, some farmers have filled the gates of local administrative buildings with manure.
