VIDEO: What is Armenia Doing to Ensure the Return of Detained Individuals in Baku?

The Government of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are doing everything possible to ensure that individuals detained in Baku return to Armenia as soon as possible. Vahan Kostenyan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, stated this during a conversation with journalists.

“We are raising this issue in all international platforms related to human rights. There are legal processes underway in the European Court of Human Rights, and we are utilizing the entire toolkit available to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring all our compatriots back as soon as possible, including former officials,” he said.

The Deputy Foreign Minister added, “The forced relocation that occurred in Nagorno-Karabakh is also a consequence of the inaction of the international community, but we continue and will continue our work with international partners to ensure that clear steps are taken towards stability and peace in the region and that all necessary tools are fully applied if needed.”
