«Israel Has No Right to Self-Defense» – Russian Permanent Representative at the UN
The Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, has stated that Israel has no right to self-defense in the current military conflict with the Palestinian Hamas radical movement, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Israel, as an occupying power, does not have the right to self-defense, as affirmed by the International Court of Justice’s 2004 ruling,” he said.
According to him, Russia acknowledges that Israel has the right to ensure its security; however, this concept is not synonymous with the right to self-defense.
