Switzerland Launches Investigation into Hamas Financing

Switzerland's Attorney General Stefan Blättler has announced that Bern has been conducting an investigation concerning the financing of Hamas for over a month. According to SRF, the prosecutor has not provided further details about the case, but it is noted that this is the first report on Hamas financing in 20 years.

Hamas has a political organization and exercises political control over the Gaza Strip, which prevents the movement from being labeled a terrorist organization despite its committed crimes.

Previously, sponsors from U.S. universities began to withdraw their support due to the institutions' inadequate condemnation of Hamas's actions in Israel.
