25-Year-Old Man Strikes Waitress in the Face; Gunshots Fired

The criminal investigators of the Ararat regional department of the police, in collaboration with the officers of the Artashat division, received information on August 29 about a conflict that arose the previous evening at a bar in the village of Mrgaviet between a waitress and a 25-year-old male customer. The latter struck the waitress in the face with his hands. This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

It was noted that the argument continued outside. During this time, a 45-year-old man living near the bar fired gunshots from a registered hunting rifle in an attempt to calm down the participants of the dispute.

Through explanatory work, both the customer and the neighbor presented themselves at the police station. The neighbor also brought the rifle with him. Both have been brought to the Ararat regional investigative department. The circumstances are being clarified.
