No Unusual Troop Movements or Buildups Observed: EU Mission in Armenia Denies Baku
During regular patrols, no unusual troop movements or buildups have been recorded, especially near the entrance of the Lachin Corridor. This was stated by the EU Mission in Armenia on its Twitter page.
"The EU Mission monitors the military and security situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border through four operational bases that carry out daily patrols. Based on the information available on the ground, we do not see unusual troop movements or buildups, particularly near the entrance of the Lachin Corridor," the statement said.
This announcement effectively refutes statements made by Baku regarding the buildup of troops near the border with Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that Armenia was concentrating a large number of weapons and military equipment at the border for military adventurism.
