Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and Turkish Baykar Company Sign Agreement
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Turkish company Baykar have signed an agreement regarding the construction of a maintenance center for UAV repairs in Ukraine. This information was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
"The Ministry of Defense and Baykar Makina signed a contract for the construction of a center for the repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine. This has been done within the framework of cooperation between the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey..." reads the statement posted on the department's website.
It is clarified that the establishment of the center will take place in the near future. In June, Turkish Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar mentioned that he expects to start the production of Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akinci combat drones in Ukraine by 2025.
