The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently imprisoned, has made a statement on his Facebook page expressing gratitude to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by Aliq.ge.
According to Saakashvili, Zelensky has shown his humanity. “How can one not love Ukraine and not respect its president? I remain the head of the Council for Reforms under the President of Ukraine and, of course, a proud citizen of this heroic country. I am looking forward to good news from the front lines in the coming days,” Saakashvili wrote.
Incidentally, on July 4, the Georgian ambassador to Ukraine, Giorgi Zakharashvili, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine by order of Zelensky.
