US Decides to Delay New Sanctions Against Wagner Group
The United States plans to delay the imposition of new sanctions against the Wagner military group. This was reported by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.
According to the publication, the US State Department intended to introduce a new package of sanctions against the company on Tuesday, June 27. However, it has been decided to postpone these measures against the backdrop of the situation created in Russia.
“Washington does not want to create the impression that it is taking sides on this issue,” a source told WSJ. At the same time, interviewees expressed concern that the delay might benefit Russian President Vladimir Putin.
