Moscow Claims Americans Hinder Dialogue Between Syrian Kurds and Damascus

“Americans are obstructing the dialogue between Syrian Kurds and Damascus,” asserts Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister and special representative of the President for the Middle East.

“The Americans rely on a number of Kurdish organizations, supporting them. These entities, in turn, are forming a pseudo-state with their administration. This is absolutely unacceptable. It represents a violation of the Syrian state and sovereignty,” Bogdanov stated.

“Our wish is for the issues of the Kurds to be resolved through dialogue, but unfortunately, the Americans are not interested in that and do not allow their Kurdish allies to conduct constructive dialogue with Damascus,” Bogdanov noted.
