Georgia Requests to Restore Air Travel, According to Russian Senator
Georgia itself requested Russia several weeks ago to restore air travel. This was stated by Russian senator Vladimir Dzhabarov.
According to him, the ruling "Georgian Dream" party has supported this initiative. He described EU statements on the matter as a rude interference in Georgian affairs.
Dzhabarov added that the European Union has expressed strong opposition to the return of direct flights, thereby interfering in Georgia's affairs.
It is noteworthy that days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the cancellation of the long-term ban on direct flights with Georgia.
