KPP Members Have Fears, Seeking Connections with Vardapetyan: 'Zhoghovurd'
'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that starting today, the parliament resumes its work. The next meetings of the National Assembly's fifth session begin this week. Armenia's Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan is set to visit the parliament to present the prosecutor's office report on its activities for 2022.
According to information from 'Zhoghovurd', in anticipation of the prosecutor's visit to the National Assembly, many members of the ruling Civil Contract party (KPP) are trying to establish or restore relations with Vardapetyan. Previously, when Vardapetyan served as Deputy Minister of Justice and was unjustly removed from her position, many KPP members did not even greet her. Now, they fear that Vardapetyan might seek 'revenge' on them, considering that many of their assets have significantly and unjustifiably increased.
'Zhoghovurd' has also reported that KPP members are searching for various occasions to meet with the Prosecutor General, but Vardapetyan mostly avoids contact with them. She is primarily in direct communication only with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and interacts with Vladimir Vardanyan when attending the National Assembly, taking breaks in the office of the NA president Alen Simonyan.
