Borrel: The Rights of Armenians in Artsakh Must Be Ensured

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has addressed Azerbaijan's establishment of a checkpoint in the Lachin corridor on his Twitter account.

Borrell specifically wrote: “Azerbaijan’s unilateral installation of a checkpoint along the Lachin corridor contradicts the EU’s calls to reduce tensions and resolve issues through dialogue. The EU continues to engage in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The rights and security of Armenians in Artsakh must be ensured.”
