Adam Schiff Presents Bill in Congress to Recognize Artsakh's Independence and Condemn Aggression

The Vice Chairman of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, Adam Schiff, has presented a bill in the House of Representatives calling for the recognition of Artsakh's independence and condemning Azerbaijan's ongoing aggression against Armenia and Artsakh. The information was reported by the Armenian National Committee of America.

“The right to self-determination is enshrined in several articles of international law, of which the United States is a member, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights,” states the text of the resolution.

All peoples possess the right to self-determination under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. By virtue of that right, they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.
