EU Not Afraid of China's Rise, Borrell Says

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has stated that the EU is not afraid of China's rise. He wrote this in his blog.

According to him, while the EU does not fear China's ascent, Europe understands that the history of tomorrow's world will also depend on how Beijing utilizes its power.

Borrell has called on China to take responsibility for peace and security, emphasizing that the international community must address the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and climate change. He argues that there is an imbalance forming between the EU and China, despite the robust economic ties between the two sides.
