UN Expects US to Fulfill Its Obligations Regarding Lavrov's Visit
The UN expects the United States to fulfill its obligations as the host country of a global organization and issue visas to the delegation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This was stated on Wednesday by the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, during a press briefing.
"As far as I know, we have not received any inquiries from Russia concerning this matter. We expect the host country to fully meet its obligations. There have been issues in the past, and we have directly raised them with the host country," he said.
Lavrov's visit to the UN headquarters is anticipated at the end of April.
