Armenia Plans Participation in 2 Other U.S. Army Command Exercises

On April 6, the Pentagon's website announced the multinational exercise "Defender 2023," which listed Armenia among the participating countries. However, shortly after, the U.S. Department of Defense edited the announcement, removing Armenia from the list of participants.

For clarification, Aremenpress reached out to Aram Torosyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia.

Question: Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Defense's website included Armenia in the list of participating countries for the "Defender 2023" multinational exercise. Soon after, the Pentagon revised the announcement, and Armenia was no longer on the list. Ultimately, will the Armenian Armed Forces participate in this exercise?

Answer: The Ministry of Defense of Armenia plans to participate in two other exercises organized by the U.S. Army Command in Europe this year: KFOR (Kosovo Forces) and Saber Junction.
