Armenian Official Dismissed from Role in Cooperation with Russian Peacekeepers in Artsakh
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Sergey Martirosyan, the head of the cooperation center with Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, who is also involved in the negotiation team with Azerbaijan, has recently been dismissed from his position. According to certain information, the reason for the dismissal relates to disagreements with Minister of State Gurgen Nersisyan, who has expressed dissatisfaction and has decided to demote Martirosyan to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council.
Dismissing Martirosyan effectively strips him of official communication with Russian peacekeepers and the opportunity to be present at ongoing processes.
It is noteworthy that Sergey Martirosyan previously headed the relevant administration during Vitaly Balasanyan's tenure as Secretary of the Security Council and was consistently present at meetings with Azerbaijanis alongside Vito. Following Balasanyan's dismissal, this administration was separated as a result of the optimization of the structure. Additionally, he is closely connected with the former head of the Russian peacekeepers, General Muradov, and Martirosyan’s son is among those missing from the 44-day war.
