The extraordinary session of the Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, where candidates for the Human Rights Defender are presented, is tense.

Recall that the "Honorary Title" and "Armenia" factions have nominated the former head of the Constitutional Court’s staff, Edgar Ghazaryan. The "Civil Contract" party has proposed the candidacy of Deputy Prosecutor General Anahit Manasyan.

“Who, if not the Human Rights Defender, should try to investigate the cause of death for more than 5000 young people?” noted Ghazaryan, to which the secretary of the CC faction responded, "Hey, don't you dare increase the number of casualties, got it?"
