Germany's Defense Minister: No Scenario for Additional Tanks to Ukraine
The NATO countries plan to send two battalions of Leopard 2 tanks and four battalions of Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine, while there will be no deliveries beyond what has been announced. This was stated by Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
According to the German minister, it is unlikely that Kyiv will receive more tanks due to limited resources, including from allies. “I do not see a scenario in which it will be possible to send additional tanks to [Ukraine] than have been announced. We, like other countries, have limited reserves. As the federal defense minister, I cannot give everything,” emphasized Pistorius. “There are reserves that should not be exhausted,” noted the head of Germany's military department.
