Parliament Resolutions Do Not Reflect Official Paris Line: French Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The resolutions of the French Parliament calling for sanctions against Azerbaijan do not reflect the official line of Paris. This was stated by a representative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reporters.
The ministry described the documents approved by the Senate as an 'independent initiative of parliamentarians.'
'France will continue to encourage both parties to move forward in negotiations, taking advantage of the opportunity to achieve peace,' the statement said.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, on November 30, the National Assembly of the Republic of France unanimously adopted a resolution supporting Armenia and proposing sanctions against Azerbaijan.
