Turkey Launches Airstrikes on Syrian City of Kobani
The Turkish military conducted airstrikes on the city of Kobani in northern Aleppo province on Saturday evening. This information was reported by Agence France-Presse, citing a representative of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces.
It was noted that strikes were also carried out on targets in the Hasakeh region of northeastern Syria. Kurdish journalist and analyst Amberin Zaman reported that the airstrikes targeted areas "under the responsibility of Russian air forces."
It is important to recall that on November 13, a bombing in central Istanbul resulted in the deaths of 6 people and injuries to more than 80. Investigators have stated that the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party and People's Protection Units were involved in the attack.
