Putin on the Mobilization Implemented in Russia
Nothing additional is planned within the framework of the partial mobilization. Currently, 222,000 people have been mobilized. They must undergo mandatory retraining, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in Astana.
“Maintaining a contact line of 1,100 km with contract servicemen is nearly impossible, which is linked to mobilization. At the moment, 33,000 mobilized individuals are already in the units, and 16,000 are performing combat tasks,” the president noted.
Putin expressed no regrets about the start of the special operation in Ukraine, stating, “My actions are correct. We do not set the goal of destroying Ukraine. There is no need for massive strikes at this time, at least for now; we have other issues at hand. Introducing any troops into Ukraine and engaging in direct confrontation with the Russian army is a dangerous move that can lead to disaster.”
