Academic City to Be Constructed, Maximum of 8 State Universities to Exist: Pashinyan

Academic City will be constructed in Ashtarak. This was announced today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

According to the Prime Minister, "The unifying, renewing universities will gradually relocate there."

Pashinyan informed that the government intends to move towards the consolidation of universities and the integration with certain research institutes.

“Thus, we will have a maximum of 8 consolidated state universities. These 8 universities will be fully state-funded and will meet international standards, ranging from physical, educational, research, sports, and dormitory infrastructure to international educational programs and a qualified, well-paid faculty,” he stated.
