Air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces on their Twitter page. Sirens were also heard in other major cities, including Rishon Lezion and Holon, according to The Times of Israel.
Preliminary reports indicate that some of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system, while others landed in open areas, the newspaper adds. This marks the first attack on Tel Aviv since the beginning of the recent escalation.
