Nancy Pelosi Explains Why Delegation Arrived in Taiwan
The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, stated that the U.S. Congressional delegation arrived in Taiwan to signal that Washington will not waver in its commitment to support the island. She made this announcement during a meeting with Taiwan's Premier, Tsai Ing-wen.
“Today, our delegation, of which I am very proud, came to Taiwan to express that we will not abandon our commitments to Taiwan and are proud of our friendship, which has withstood the test of time,” Pelosi said.
