“Serzh Sargsyan was very clear,” says Sagatelyan

“I’m not saying that I am the leader of this movement. A leader is not self-proclaimed or appointed. This was stated by Ishkhan Sagatelyan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ faction and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, during a press conference when addressing the question of when it was decided that he is the leader of the movement.

Referring to Serzh Sargsyan's recent statement that opposition leader Ishkhan Sagatelyan would address what results the popular movement has achieved, Sagatelyan replied: “I believe Serzh Sargsyan was very clear. I also gave a clear answer to that question: we have not gathered in this square to search for leaders; we have gathered around an idea and a purpose. All those of us who carry that idea and are ready to bring it to a victorious conclusion are the leaders of this movement.”
