Pope Francis Announces Possible Visit to Ukraine
Pope Francis II has announced his desire to visit Ukraine but is waiting for the right moment. “I would like to visit Ukraine, but I need to wait for the right time,” Pope Francis II's words were quoted by the ANSA agency.
The Pope added that he will be meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities soon to clarify whether the visit can be realized.
In May, Pope Francis II also stated his intention to visit Ukraine but expressed doubts about the appropriateness of the visit, noting that before going to Ukraine, he wishes to be in Russia and meet with President Vladimir Putin.
