Erdogan Explains Reasons for Military Operations in Syria
Turkey plans to conduct new cross-border operations in northern Syria to ensure the security of its southern borders. This was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party on Saturday, as reported by TASS.
“We have taken steps to make our armed forces one of the most modern armies in the world. We have eliminated the terrorist corridor that was trying to form along our southern borders. What is lacking at the border, we will fill with new operations in Syria. We are carefully studying the situation,” he said.
