Attorney: They Do Not Disclose Who Exactly Holds Alexander Asatryan

For about 45 minutes, I have been at the National Security Service of Armenia to meet and assume responsibility for HHD member Alexander Asatryan, who was brought here for unknown reasons a few hours ago. This was stated by Asatryan's attorney, Arthur Nahapetyan.

“However, for a long time now, due to various technical and other unclear reasons, they have not specified exactly who holds Alexander Asatryan. Furthermore, they are indicating that he is not in the NSS building, and I do not know which investigator has taken him out or for which investigative action,” Nahapetyan added.

“They refused to provide me with any information, stating that the relevant investigator would contact me after the completion of the mentioned investigative action. I assess what is happening as a gross violation of Alexander Asatryan's right to receive legal assistance. I urge the attention of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia to this issue and await an immediate response.”
