Mother-in-law Shot by Son-in-law Also Dies in Hospital

Today, April 23, a 72-year-old resident of Nalbandyan village in the enlarged community of Metsamor, Sirvart Harutyunyan, has died in the intensive care unit of the "Armavir" Medical Center without regaining consciousness.

According to shamshyan.com, she had been transferred to the hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds from her son-in-law.

As previously reported from the crime scene by a photojournalist, on April 22, a murder and attempted murder occurred in the Armavir region. At approximately 00:15, the Armavir police received a report of gunfire in a section of road from Nor Armavir village to Nalbandyan village, stating that one person had been taken to the hospital and another was on the ground.

The police and investigators established that on the same day, around 00:05, 44-year-old Laert Harutyunyan had a dispute over household matters in the yard of 69-year-old Edik Martirosyan's house, which involved Edik Martirosyan and his son, 41-year-old Aram Martirosyan. During this argument, insults were reportedly directed at L. Harutyunyan (which the investigative department is currently clarifying), at which point L. Harutyunyan fired shots with a smoothbore shotgun at A. Martirosyan, E. Martirosyan, and E. Martirosyan's wife, 72-year-old Sirvart Harutyunyan.

As a result of the gunfire, Edik Martirosyan died on the spot from a gunshot wound to the head, while Aram Martirosyan and Sirvart Harutyunyan were hospitalized with gunshot injuries at the "Armavir" Medical Center.
