Scholz Announces Germany Will Offer Full Integration to Ukrainian Refugees
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced that, against the backdrop of the military crisis, Germany will offer full integration to Ukrainian citizens who have left the country, as reported by РИА Новости.
He explained that many Ukrainians who have fled the country "expect a quick return," and their migration differs from what "we have seen in recent years."
"This involves a large number of children, women, and elderly people. Many men have not left Ukraine because they are conscripts," he said.
According to the Chancellor, it is crucial to provide assistance to the displaced Ukrainians in preparing their options for permanent residence within the EU, regardless of what decision they ultimately make—whether to return or to stay in Europe. "We must not repeat our mistakes," Scholz explained.
