‘In the Interest of Our Fraternal Peoples’: Putin Congratulates Vahagn Khachaturyan
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has sent a congratulatory telegram to Vahagn Khachaturyan on the occasion of his election as President of Armenia. This information is reported by the Kremlin's press service.
“I am confident that your activity in this high office will contribute to the further development of Russian-Armenian allied relations and the advancement of mutually beneficial processes in Eurasian integration, in the interest of our fraternal peoples, and for strengthening regional security and stability,” the telegram from the Russian president stated.
As reported earlier, Vahagn Khachaturyan was elected President of Armenia today with 71 votes in favor.
