Artak Davtyan Dismissed from the Position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia
The acting president of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, has signed a decree relieving Artak Davtyan from his position as the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
“Based on the Prime Minister's proposal and in accordance with the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as part 3 of Article 40 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen, Artak Davtyan is dismissed from the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree states.
