Fires Erupt on 32.8 Hectares: Ministry of Emergency Situations
From February 15 to 19, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 19 reports regarding fires that affected areas of 200 square meters or more in various grasslands across the republic. Specifically, in Artashat, Ararat Province, an area of 1500 square meters was affected; in Masis, an area of 3000 square meters; in Armavir Province, in Armavir city, 1500 square meters; in Lernagog village, 1.5 hectares; in Griboyedov village, 3000 square meters; in Baghramyan village, 1000 square meters; in Karakert village, 5 hectares; in Vanadzor city, Lori Province, 2 hectares; in Tumanyan city, 2 hectares; in Gugark village, 400 square meters; and along the Metsavan-Dzoramut highway, 18 hectares. Additionally, in Meghri city, Syunik Province, 1.4 hectares were affected, and in Kapan city, 1.5 hectares. In Berd city, Tavush Province, 3000 square meters were reported, and in Chinari village, 500 square meters.
The firefighters have extinguished the fires in the mentioned areas, totaling 32.8 hectares.
