Donetsk Leader Denies Reports of Explosion
The leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, has declared the situation in Donetsk to be under control. This was reported by Iz.ru.
Earlier, on February 12, social media and local news outlets had reported an explosion in Donetsk, stating that the blast was heard in several neighborhoods across the city.
Pushilin clarified that the explosion occurred in a territory controlled by Kyiv, near the contact line. He emphasized that the situation in the city remains manageable.
In turn, the deputy head of the Donetsk militia's department, Edward Basurin, told journalists that he had not even heard the sound of the explosion.
