Ruben Rubinyan on Reports of Pashinyan's Participation in Antalya Summit

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has not been invited to the Antalya summit scheduled in Turkey. This was announced today by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, who also serves as the Armenian special representative for normalizing relations with Turkey.

"At this point, both I and Mr. Mirzoyan are invited to this event, and as we have repeatedly stated, no final decision has been made. This means we may go, or we may not go," Rubinyan stated, promising opposition 'Armenia' faction MP Gegham Manukyan that he would inform him first after a decision has been made.

"I will call you and let you know," he added.

It should be noted that Rubinyan responded in this manner to Manukyan's comments regarding Armenia's lack of a clear position, stating that "diplomatic games" are already being used by Turkey against Armenia on international platforms. "Where are Ararat Mirzoyan and Ruben Rubinyan going? Who advised them to participate in this Turkish project? That remains unclear. What should Ararat Mirzoyan do? Nothing, except become an instrument of Turkish external propaganda," Manukyan said.

Rubinyan replied, "I don't understand your raised question about where we are going. Who said we are going somewhere?"

It is recalled that on February 4, in an interview with a Turkish television channel, Turkey's Vice President Fuat Oktay announced that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan would visit Turkey in March to participate in the Antalya diplomatic forum.
