Macron on the Return of 8 Armenian Prisoners of War from Baku
French President Emmanuel Macron has addressed the return of 8 Armenian prisoners of war from Baku to their homeland. He made this announcement on his Twitter page.
“Azerbaijan has released eight Armenian detainees and transferred them from Baku to Yerevan. They will be reunited with their families, from whom they have been separated for several months. Thank you to our diplomats and also to our soldiers mobilized in this operation. We are moving forward,” wrote the French President.
According to the spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahan Hunanyan, as a result of a remote meeting that took place on February 4, facilitated by French President Emmanuel Macron and Charles Michel, President of the European Council, 8 Armenian prisoners of war were returned to their homeland.
