What Did Ukraine Propose to Azerbaijan?
The Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for European Integration, Yaroslav Demchenkov, has proposed that Azerbaijan utilize its gas storage facilities. According to Life.ru, the deputy minister stated, “This will contribute to the energy security of Europe.”
“Transfer through the Adriatic Pipeline and the use of Ukraine's vast underground gas storage facilities can help increase the volumes of gas supplies from Azerbaijan to the EU and strengthen the reliability of gas supplies to the region,” the press service of the Ukrainian ministry quoted Demchenkov.
He added that Baku is Kyiv's strategic partner in the energy sector, especially regarding the development of the oil and gas complex.
