Erdoğan and His Wife Test Positive for Coronavirus
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife have tested positive for the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. Erdoğan announced this news on his Twitter account.
“After experiencing mild symptoms, my wife and I took a Covid-19 test, and the result was positive. Fortunately, it is the mild type known as 'Omicron',” Erdoğan wrote.
He also stated that he and his wife will isolate at home but will continue to work remotely. “We eagerly await your prayers,” concluded the President of Turkey.
It is worth noting that Erdoğan recently returned from Ukraine, where he made an official visit on February 3rd. In Kyiv, he had met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
